  • October 2017 – Present  :  The Wendy’s Company Dublin, OH
    • Lead Developer, Web and Mobile
      Initially assigned to support the web e-commerce platform, encompassing ordering, membership and location services applications. Architecture consists of Flux/React SPA, Node, and Java REST service tier. Subsequently supported the wendys.com intermediary site development, assisting with implementation of middleware for ETL and modeling of CMS content and MIS data used in the generation of an SEO optimized, pre-rendered React SPA. Concurrently worked with 3rd party vendor to migrate CMS system from Oracle OWCS to the Acquia Drupal platform.

      Transitioned to support the self-service Kiosk development team. Platform architecture consists of a native Node Webkit application, comprised of a Redux/React SPA, with system level integrations for payment processing and POS systems integration utilizing the Edge.js library for .Net interoperability.

      Currently assigned as team lead on the cross-platform e-commerce team, which is comprised of web, Android and iOS developers. Objective is to facilitate greater cross platform continuity and overall width/depth of technical skills, while also focusing on individual team member goals to promote opportunities for career growth within the organization. Role responsibilities are expanded to include accountability, oversight, and coordination of day to day team activities.

    • Senior Solutions Developer
      Recruited for lead front end developer role on project team assembled to support Chemical Abstracts Services, Inc. enterprise product development. With a technology stack consisting of open source frameworks and products including Java, Jetty, Apache, RIAK, Spark, and SOLR, and utilizing the Docker platform for cloud based delivery. Target deliverable was a web based port of a thick client application for enterprise users. Spring MVC was employed for the REST service layer tier, with UI development employing AngularJS SPA architecture. Responsibilities included architecture definition, development, code assignment and review, developer on-boarding, and coordination with client product owner, business analyst, and off-site UX team.

      Responsibilities include project scope outline and quotation, oversight of project development and personnel, client technical support, management and administration of 2 internal and 2 external servers, as well as application development. Development environment consists primarily of ASP.NET and Coldfusion applications, utilizing SQL Server and MySQL DBMS, with application scopes encompassing web to print, multi-channel marketing and e-commerce solutions.

      Assumed responsibilities for day to day production operations, scheduling and personnel. Administrative duties included oversight of personnel staffing, training, scheduling, discipline and review, implementation and improvement of production and quality control procedures and processes, oversight of equipment service and maintenance. Effectively introduced an environment that was heavily reliant on cross-training and cross departmental collaboration through emphasis on team and moral building, and job process ownership.

      Assumed Management duties of monochrome and color digital production departments in addition to prepress and web development management responsibilities. Primary function was to improve quality, consistency and efficiency in digital production while introducing initiatives to minimize departmental costs.

      Initial task assignment was start up of internal digital prepress department. Procured, installed and maintained necessary hardware/software, CTP and proofing systems, as well as implementing departmental procedures. Assumed web development responsibilities, and was responsible for project management, staffing and oversight of web development and internal design department.

      Following the announcement of National Graphics closing, I served as the sole 2nd shift operator for first 2 years of employment. Duties included conventional prepress stripping and proofing, digital desktop file preparation, color correction, scanning, imposition, ripping, trapping and output. Additionally tasked with various web design and development projects for both static and dynamic websites.

      Working as coordinator for National’s projects at Spectrum, I was recruited to assist in the installation of a digital prepress solution. Duties included conventional prepress stripping and proofing, digital desktop file preparation, color correction, scanning, imposition, ripping, trapping and output. During college I transitioned to the press room, where I stayed for several years operating presses ranging from duplicators to half size sheet-fed, until offered an opportunity in estimating. Shortly following, I was assigned to customer service. I was later offered the customer service manager position which was held until my departure in 1999. During slow periods in college, I spent brief tenures at both SouthPrint and Fineline Graphics as a press helper on 4 and 6-color 40” sheet-fed presses.
